La Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (sigla di progetto C190) è un'autovettura sportiva, con carrozzeria di tipo coupé, prodotta dalla casa automobilistica tedesca Mercedes-Benz a partire dal 2014.
La vettura, sviluppata dal reparto AMG, è stata presentata al Salone di Parigi nel 2014 e si pone come erede della Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Benché le consegne siano previste per l'inizio del 2015, la vettura è ordinabile già dal mese di novembre[1].
Il 26 giugno 2016 è stata presentata la nuova versione GT-R, testata sul circuito del Nürburgring in Germania, ma in Europa la vettura sarà disponibile sul mercato dal 2017; la versione GT-R si colloca come rivale della Porsche 911 GT3 RS e della Nissan GT-R Nismo. La versione GT-S è stata prodotta anche in versione safety car per le gare di F1.
Un'ulteriore versione omologata per uso in pista è l'AMG GT3 partecipante al campionato mondiale endurance. In autunno è stata presentata la nuova versione cabrio AMG GT C.
La vettura è stata realizzata in cinque versioni, tre coupé e una cabrio: la GT, la GT-S e la GT-R sono i modelli coupé, mentre la GT-C è cabrio, che si differenziano principalmente per la potenza erogata dal motore.
La vettura è equipaggiata con un motore 8 cilindri disposti a V bi-turbo con le turbine all'interno della V con cilindrata 3.982 cm³ in grado di erogare, per la versione GT, una potenza massima di 462 CV a 6000 giri/minuto e una coppia massima di 600 Nm dai 1.600 ai 5.000 giri/minuto, mentre per la versione GT-S la potenza massima aumenta a 510 CV a 6.250 giri/minuto e la coppia massima aumenta a 650 Nm disponibile dai 1.750 ai 4.750 giri/minuto. La versione GT-R ha lo stesso motore V8 4.0 biturbo delle due versioni ma si differenzia nella potenza con 123 CV in più rispetto alla GT e 75 rispetto alla GT-S, raggiungendo una potenza massima di 585 CV a 6500 giri/minuto e una coppia massima di 700 Nm (100 Nm in più rispetto alla GT). L'AMG GT3 monta un motore V8 aspirato, lo stesso della SLS GT3, da 6208 cm³ in grado di erogare oltre 500 CV di potenza con uno scatto da 0-100 in meno di 3 secondi e una velocità di punta di 332 km/h[3]. Le due versioni cabrio, GT-E e GT-C, hanno una potenza e una coppia massima rispettivamente di 476 CV, 630 Nm e 557 CV, 680 Nm. La versione GT-E raggiunge una velocità massima di 302 km/h con uno scatto 0-100 km/h coperto in meno di 4 secondi mentre la versione GT-C scatta da 0-100 km/h in 3"7 con una velocità massima limitata elettronicamente di 316 km/h
La vettura è a trazione posteriore ed è dotata di cambio transaxle posteriore a doppia frizione a 7 rapporti Speedshift DCT AMG.
Per contenere i pesi della vettura il telaio space frame è realizzato in alluminio, permettendo di ottenere un peso a vuoto di 1615 kg per la versione GT, 1645 kg per la versione GT-S e 1554 kg per la GT-R. La vettura, in entrambe le versioni, è lunga 4.546 mm, larga 2.075 mm, alta 1.288 mm e ha un passo di 2.630 mm, inoltre il Cx è di 0,36.
Di serie la versione GT dispone di un impianto frenante con dischi autoventilanti forati da 360 mm, mentre la versione GT-S dispone di freni anteriori maggiorati da 390 mm identificabili dalle pinze freno verniciate di rosso. Sono disponibili come optional i freni carboceramici, con dischi anteriori da 402 mm e posteriori da 360 mm.
I cerchi sono entrambi da 19" per la versione GT con pneumatici da 255/35 anteriormente e 295/35 posteriormente, mentre le versioni GT-S e GT-R si differenziano per i cerchi posteriori da 20" con pneumatici da 265/35 anteriormente e 295/35 posteriormente.
La versione GT è in grado di accelerare da 0-100 km/h in 4,0 secondi, con una velocità massima limitata elettronicamente di 304 km/h. La versione GT-S è in grado di accelerare da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,8 secondi, con una velocità massima limitata elettronicamente di 310 km/h. La versione GT-R è in grado di accelerare da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,6 secondi, con una velocità massima limitata elettronicamente di 318 km/h.
I consumi e le emissioni sono di 9,3 l/100 km pari a 216 g/km di CO2 per la versione GT e di 9,4 l/100 km pari a 219 g/km di CO2 per la versione GT-S.

The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a 2-door, 2-seat sports car produced in coupé and roadster form by Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on 9 September 2014 and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. After the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A GT4 racing variant, targeted at semi-professional drivers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. All variants are assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany.
The interior of the Mercedes-AMG GT was previewed on 16 April 2014. The car made its debut on 9 September 2014 and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show with two performance options: the GT, with 340 kW (462 PS; 456 bhp), and the GT S with 375 kW (510 PS; 503 bhp). The GT generates 600 N⋅m (443 lb⋅ft) of torque, and the GT S generates 650 N⋅m (479 lb⋅ft) of torque.[4]
Shortly after its introduction, Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers promised a Black Series variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT.[6] The new variant called the AMG GT R had a starting price of US$129,900
The GT R is a high-performance variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT and was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 24 June 2016. The M178 engine in this variant is tuned to an output of 585 PS (577 bhp; 430 kW) at 6,250 rpm and 700 N⋅m (516 lb⋅ft) at 5,500 rpm of torque. The GT R accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h).
While the GT R retains the key mechanical differences the GT C gains over the GT S, it also gains manually adjustable coilover springs (in conjunction with the AMG Ride Control suspension of its lesser siblings), an active underbody fairing, a manually adjustable rear spoiler, and a 9-mode AMG Traction Control system. As befitting of a high-performance variant, the GT R loses Keyless-Go, the integrated garage-door opener, the heated / power-folding side mirrors, the auto-dimming interior / exterior mirrors and reverts to the basic light-weight 4-speaker audio system that the GT comes with.
When it was launched, the GT R had several cosmetic changes compared with the standard car, notably the vertical slats in the front grille, a fixed rear wing, new front air intakes and new front and rear diffusers. The styling of the GT R is more comparable to that of the AMG GT3 race car. However, the standard car gained several of these cometic changes as part of a mild facelift in the 2017 model year. The GT R went on sale in November 2016, with deliveries beginning in 2017.
It completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in 7:10.92, in a test conducted by German magazine Sport Auto.
